Let's Learn to Code!

Coding is how computer experts tell computers and other electronic devices what to do. Read this article that explains more about coding.

You will need to set up your account on code.org, Click this link.


  • Click sign in with your Google Account.
  • Fill in your age and click Sign Up.
  • Scroll all the way down to Add a Teacher and Join this Section: FPSFUQ
  • Your first task is a class called HOUR of CODE, there are 20 steps. Have fun!
When you are done with all 20 HOC lessons, join this section JFLKKX

Hi guys, I know you all are being sweet. Work hard today and have a good weekend. I'll see you Monday!

1. Take this division quiz, don't forget your name, print and turn in to the teacher.

2. Take this quiz on nouns, verbs adjectives and adverbs until you make miss 2 or less. When you are done, right click on your results and print. THEN, write your name and how many times you took the quiz on the sheet and turn in to the teacher.

3. Finish Plural Possessive Nouns and Adverbs assignments on No Red Ink.

4. Mad Libs have been around since I was a kid, it is where you use parts of speech to create a silly story. Make one here and then read your story when you are done.

5. When you are finished with all of the above, check out December Links!!

1. Go to Brainpop, log in, and watch the video on adverbs. When done, click on "QUIZ", then choose "CLASSIC QUIZ". Print and bring to me when you are done.

2. Go to your Google Drive:

  • Open your work folder
  • Click the down arrow next to MY DRIVE
  • Click on your Z folder
  • Click NEW and scroll down and click document
  • Type your personal narrative, make sure it fits on one page
  • Don't forget to type your name under the title
  • Print and bring to me

November Week 1

1.

  • Make sure your recipe has your name at the top of the page, like: Mrs. C's Crab Dip.
  • Read over it and make sure it makes sense and that you added good transition words and clue words that help the reader know what the next and last step was.
  • Check spelling, capitals, end punctuation.
  • Make sure it fits on one page and it looks like you want it to look, do not add color, the printer only prints in black and white.
  • Print your recipe and bring it to me.
2. Finish your recipe sort.


3. Click here to practice your word problem models. Choose either 1-50, or 1-300, whichever numbers you feel comfortable working with. When you are done click VIEW PROGRESS, then VIEW CERTIFICATE, print and give to me. If you are not at a place where you can print, take a screen shot (FN + square with lines at top) and rename it Thinking Blocks Addition and Subtraction.

Landforms!

Landform Project Directions

Researching:
  1. Research your landform using the websites given by Mrs. Constantine. Use additional websites if necessary.
  2. Make a list of 5 facts about your landform in your Content notebook
  3. Show your facts to Mrs. Constantine so that she can let you start your Google Presentation!

Google Presentation:

  1. Go to Google and click on your waffle.
  2. Click on “Drive” and click “new presentation”.
  3. Title the presentation Landforms with your name and your partner’s name.
  4. Title your slide with the name of your landform.
  5. Type your 5 facts about your landform.
  6. When you are finished with your slide you can add transitions if you want to.
  7. Now go to your recent documents and find the Presentation called “Class Landforms” that I shared with you. Open it, then click “insert” then “import slide”, then select your slide. You have added your slide to our class presentation.

  7. For the next five slides include a rule along with a picture describing the rule.
  8. Make sure spelling is correct as well as all sentences make sense.

If you get done with your  google presentation, then do this:

1. Play Factors, Multiples and Primes, choose level 1 and see how you do, then choose a higher level if it's easy.

 2. We will be learning about electricity next week. Watch this brainpop video on static electricity.  Username sscrest, password brainpop.
3. Log into Typing Club and practice your typing. The link is to the right of this page. Your username is your 196 number and password is your $ number.
